Plankton & Zoom is UK-based independent review site. We compare microscopes and cell imaging systems so research labs, biotech teams and PhD students can make confident buying decisions. We do not sell, resell or broker microscope quotes.
Plankton & Zoom publishes independent, evidence-based reviews of fluorescence microscopes and cell imaging systems for UK research laboratories, biotech startups, and academic departments. Our focus is on equipment from Thermo Fisher Scientific, particularly the EVOS range, because these systems are widely adopted in UK cell culture labs.

Who We Are
Plankton & Zoom was founded by UK-based microscopy enthusiast with experience in cell culture imaging, fluorescence microscopy, and lab equipment procurement. Reviews and buying guides are produced with input from practising UK scientists and edited against our editorial policy.
