What Is a Stereo Microscope?
A stereo microscope (also called a dissecting microscope) provides a three-dimensional view of the specimen at low magnification. Unlike compound microscopes that use transmitted light through thin sections, stereo microscopes use reflected light from above — perfect for opaque, solid, or thick samples.
Stereo microscopes are essential for: dissection, PCB inspection, forensic work, entomology, palaeontology, soldering, and surgical training.
